Mount Charleston Summer Wedding | Christy + Bryan
We’re in the middle of spring wedding season and the weather this weekend was perfection! Aside from spring, fall is also a busy time for weddings in Las Vegas because of the great weather during both those seasons! But, as summer approaches I wanted to take the time to talk about summer weddings in Las Vegas. As anyone who’s been to Vegas in the summer can attest, summers are hot here. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t get married in the summer months in Las Vegas. With some planning and knowing what to expect, you absolutely can have a lovely summer wedding in Vegas. Mid-day is the warmest part of the day, so you most definitely want to avoid a 3pm ceremony! I recommend sticking to sunrise/early morning or sunset ceremony for the most pleasant temps and to not have the sun beating down on you so harshly. Of course, if you’re having a reception, opt for an indoor venue. Las Vegas has lots of options! Another recommendation to avoid those super hot summer days and get married in Mount Charleston! It’s just a 45 minute drive up the mountain. The Retreat on Charleston Peak is on of my favorite locations up there! The terrace offers gorgeous views overlooking the mountains and like I mentioned, the temperature is usually about 15 degrees or so cooler than in the valley so it makes it a great option for summer weddings. Check out Christy + Bryan’s sweet micro wedding to get some ideas and see how beautiful your wedding can be too!
