Las Vegas Micro Wedding: Nikki + Raj

Due to COVID restrictions, Nikki + Raj opted for a small intimate ceremony with just their immediate family. They had Ember and Stone Events take care of all the details and they coordinated their day perfectly!

I met up with them at The Venetian Hotel where they were getting ready before heading over to the dry lake bed for the ceremony. Now, the dry lake bed tends to be windy a location being that it’s just open desert! However, on Nikki & Raj’s wedding day, the winds were excessive and visibility was minimal. These two and their handful of guests braved the wind and sandstorm and had a beautiful wedding despite the weather! They incorporate a few of their cultural Indian traditions, as well. This led to outfit changes after their ceremony for an exchange of garlands, a key component of the traditional South Indian ceremony. The garlands represent their consent to be married to each other.

Although the wind proved to be a challenge, everyone embraced it and nobody complained! We moved along as best we could and captured their day beautifully! Enjoy checking it out and just know that although we can’t predict the weather, we can choose to make the best of it!
