Valley of Fire Micro Wedding | Bethany + Wade
Can I be completely honest with you? I do not like the term “micro wedding” ! I mean, there is nothing “micro” about one of the best days of your life, am I right? It’s a monumental occasion and just because you invite a handful of guests doesn’t make it any less amazing! So, I think going forward that term will be gone from my vocabulary!
The term really just popped up during the pandemic to describe small intimate weddings, which I’ve been photographing way before the pandemic and will continue to love them and be inspired by them way beyond! It was a phrase coined for couples who had to downsize their weddings due to the many covid restrictions that were taking place. It was a way of explaining to these couples that an elopement wasn’t the only option. Sure, big traditional weddings are back on the rise and I’m so happy for couples who have always wanted and dreamed of a big wedding! Ya’ll I photograph big traditional weddings too and love them just as much. But, the truth is micro weddings aren’t a new thing. Couples have been having small intimate weddings long before covid and I am certain they will continue to after this pandemic is long gone (can I get an amen!)
Small intimate weddings are my jam and I hope you love them too! Here is one wedding I photographed with the amazing team of Elopements Las Vegas a the gorgeous Valley of Fire! It had rained right before their wedding start time, so the red sand and rock formations are super saturated and just pop brilliantly! I mean, Valley of Fire really was showing off this day for Bethany and Wade!
