Las Vegas Dry Lake Bed Intimate Wedding | Sam + John

Most of the small intimate weddings and elopements I photograph are usually destination weddings. Couples from all over the country and all over the world will come to Las Vegas to tie the knot and it’s one of the things I love so much abut being a Las Vegas wedding photographer. However, Sam and John are locals living in Las Vegas, so it was such a great surprise to me that they chose an intimate location like the dry lake bed to have their wedding ceremony. They’re not much for being in the spotlight and wanted something simple and meaningful with just their families and their two gorgeous fur babies so this was perfect for them and exactly what they wanted.

After some the ceremony and some family group photos, it was time for Sam and John to pop some bubbly! Then while their guests mingled and enjoyed their champagne, we took some gorgeous photos on the dry lake bed. One thing I always tell my couples is that the dry lake bed is vast and has pretty light, but without any buildings or structures to block the wind, you can usually expect it to be windy. Sam and John’s day was no different than most, they had some wind to contend with, but they took it in stride and we had a great time embracing the wind. They showed so much love for each other, it was so sweet to document them and their fur babies!
