Black Tie Wedding in the Desert
A black tie wedding in the desert? Yes, please! Desert weddings usually bring to mind cozy boho vibes. But Derron and Jack knew they wanted something a bit more elegant and refined. Something classy but not stuffy, kind of like them! They came from the UK with their closest friends and family and pulled off the black tie wedding in the desert. Here’s how they made their dream day come true.
First, they chose a small desert ghost town about 45 minutes from the strip. They fell in love with the open air wooden chapel and the desert mountains in the background. Coming from England, they left the planning to Elopement Las Vegas and just focused on the rest of their trip. I highly recommend booking a planner to assist with planning when your coming from out of the country!
Second, they had a formal dress code. Yes, a formal dress code in a desert setting just works! The contrast between black tie glam and the rugged mountains and wooden barns gives your wedding photos this editorial-meets-romantic-vibe that just hits different!
Lastly, a mini cake and champagne set up decorated in their black and white colors completed the vibe check. It added to the celebration and gave their day another touch of elegance and class. They were able to toast with their guests and have a sweet traditional moment to their untraditional day.
Check out a glimpse into their day below! And, if you’re ready to make some serious fashion-meets-nature magic in the desert, I’d love to be your photographer and hype girl. PS. Fall 2025 and spring 2026 dates are booking fast – reach out now if this black-tie wedding in the desert is calling your name.
