Las Vegas Destination Wedding | Deanna + Pete
Deanna and Pete plus their friends and family were a blast! These guys came from Los Angles to have a Las Vegas destination wedding. Although Deanna and Pete did not have a traditional wedding and reception, traditions were still very important to them. They chose to get married in Vegas because 41 years ago Deanna’s parents tied the knot here. Not only did they come to the same city but they also had an intimate ceremony at the same chapel where her parents were married. We didn’t get to photograph the ceremony, since chapels have their own photographers, but we did meet up with them for some getting ready images beforehand and to capture their first look at the Westin Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. After the ceremony, they came back to the Westin for their reception. Again, not following the traditional flow of things, these guys chose to bring in their favorite fresh cookies from world famous Diddy Riese so their guests could make ice cream sandwiches. Traditional, no, but they kept their own tradition of having their favorite treat together with their favorite people. And the toast? Well, they used the same, now vintage, champagne glasses Deanna’s parents used for their first toast. And of course, since they aren’t your traditional couple, rather than hear their best man and maid of honor toast, they chose to toast to their friends and family. They thanked them for their unconditional friendship, love, and support. They raised their glasses to their guests who made the trip to share in their special day. And then they partied!
Deanna and Pete, you two broke away from the traditional wedding day and made your day your own. It was truly special and full of personal touches and new traditions. We absolutely loved that about you guys! Thanks for having us capture it for you!
